“ Auberge des Trois Ami.es We have known various restaurants in the magnificent old Château de Charbonnel in Vinezac for at least the last twenty-five years and the current version, run by three charming, young, enthusiastic and talented friends is the best iteration by a million miles. Start with a kir châtaigne, the correct preparation of which is always a marker of a good restaurant in these parts. There’s then a choice of two short menus fixes, which change weekly and which have always offered a perfectly balanced and intriguing range of tastes. Two recent stand-out dishes: an exceptional bruschetta starter – far more interesting than it at first sounds: fascinating flavours on the lightest of focaccias, served with a goats’ cheese ice-cream; and a wonderful slow-cooked pork main course with a range of differently textured accompaniments based on corn and rice. Don’t forego the cheese course: an extremely generous plate of well-selected and perfectly kept cheeses, some local, some not. We have now taken two separate, very discerning groups of friends, each of whom has been blown away to find cooking of such quality and imagination in an ardéchois village. Heartily recommended. ”

A beautiful outdoor eating ambience in this full of character, historic village! The chocolate dessert was MAGNIFICENT!!!!!!!! However my partner argued that the pork fillet main was his stand out dish!!!!! Hard to choose because all 3 courses were jam packed full of flavours!!! Oh and the cocktail was amazing too!!!!! Xx ”
